Recording Sagittal Posture
Recording Sagittal Posture Measurements
(NOTE: Must perform shoulder and hip
height measurements first. SECOND NOTE: Patient should face right)
- Position the patient facing right with their left shoulder against the wall grid.
- To capture forward head flexion, align the outside vertical laser between the ears tragus, and the acromion process.
- Click “Capture Neck Side”.
- To capture forward trunk flexion, align the outside vertical laser between the acromion process and the greater trochanter.
- Click “Capture Low Back Side”.
- To capture kyphosis:
- Turn the outside vertical laser so the laser line is parallel to the vertical grid lines.
- Slide outside vertical laser along the rail so the line intersects the greater trochanter.
- Turn inside the vertical laser so the laser line is parallel to the vertical floor grid lines.
- Slide inside the vertical laser so the laser is tangential to the apex of the patient’s
thoracic curve.
- Click “Capture Kyphosis”
- To capture sway back follow the sub-steps in step 6.
- Click “Capture Sway Back”.
